Cuentos y Canciones at Rochester Public Library
By Diego Mejia Roman in 5th grade
My name is Diego. I got chosen to read at Cuentos y Canciones because I was a leader. I also like to read books. I haven't read as many books in Spanish as I have in English. I think its a good thing that other people get to learn Spanish from me.
I practiced reading A La Cabeza A Los Pies (From Head to Toe) by Eric Carle in Spanish a few times with Ms. Magda. She helped me read the book better and taught me how to do the actions.
When I got to the library I was nervous. But after I read the book I was feeling better and I was thinking that the kids will love the book because it has actions and I think they did it.
Cuentos y Canciones, Stories and Songs in Spanish is an event in partnership with Listos Dual Immersion Preschool, Gage, Riverside and the Rochester Public Library. This event takes place every third Tuesday of the month.
