ASSEMBLY RED BALL WINNERS
Thanks!
FEBRUARY 4TH. IS THE 100TH. DAY OF SCHOOL!
THE MILL
Please have your kiddos push their chairs back in or put back in place.
Please have them pick up legos, etc. that may have fallen on the ground.
The makerspace room is going to have materials out soon for the kids to create and work with. However, we need to make sure they clean up and put things back neatly!
Thanks for the help!
SAT INFORMATION
We will have our MOY data meeting coming up Feb. 6th. In reading we have multiple sources of data to pull and compare, but of course Dreambox is not giving us the data we need to help us with decisions about Tier movement.
Our curriculum department understands this and via email has given permission to decide as a campus what MOY math assessments we would like to do outside of Dreambox to give us better data to make Tier movement decisions.
To be able to best measure growth teachers will need to use the math assessment they used for BOY.
If you did not apply a BOY math assessment or you did not glean enough information from your BOY math assessment, you can decide and agree on as a team which assessment to apply. It is important that the entire grade level agree upon the assessment so we can compare.
Again, please give the assessment in enough time to report data, so we can have the data sorted prior to the Feb. 6th meeting. Reporting it by Feb. 4th would be great.
Thank you so much, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

ESL #154 Certification Test Prepa
We have received information that the test for ESL certification is being rewritten in the very near future, and it will not be getting easier. A word to the wise: If you are planning to take the ESL supplemental test soon, it is better to take it sooner rather than later. Thank you to all who are putting in the extra time to take care of this professional need.
FIELD DAY INFORMATION!
k-2 is going to do a 1/2 day this year!
We will move the assembly Tuesday, April 30th.
FIFTH GRADE TRACK MEET
MISD PROUD
Hope you all had a wonderful winter break! We have had numerous calls asking when then MISD PROUD online store would be open. We also added several new items (winter gear type things) as these things were often requested by customers. The link is below if you would like to share it.
https://rallysportswear.com/customers/customers/misd-proud/
The store will close Tuesday evening, Jan 28. I will actually officially close it Wednesday morning. We will then orders goods, send to production and sort and bag the orders upon completion. Orders will be delivered to campuses the week of Feb 11. We will not be able to take late or manual orders. All orders need to be placed online through our website. Please make sure your staff lists their school name in the customer/notes area so we will know where to deliver.
This will be the last opportunity to order MISD PROUD apparel for this current school year. We will of course open it again mid July to have orders ready prior to the start of school. We will send out info at that time and post on our website.
Just to let you know...Counselor's Week is February 4-8!
School Board Appreciation Month
Tiffany had our kids make a large banner to hang in the board room!
If you see any board members, please thank them for their service!
Kindergarten CLI Engage MOY Assessment
Please have only your struggling kindergarten students
assessed at the middle of the year with CLI Engage
TX-KEA. At the end of the year, all students will be assessed
and a one-day substitute will be provided at that time from
the curriculum department.
Lunch and Learn is Feb. 25 with Dr. Ledbetter!
The luncheon will now be served on February 25th..
Please give IPLAN feedback!
IPLAN DAY
Thank you for your hard work this morning!!!! We heard some amazing instructional conversations and planning in the rooms today! HUGE thank you to our ILLs for being so prepared right after a break!
Please provide us with feedback from this morning. We did make a few structural changes based on your feedback from the last iPlan day, so we hoped this day was even more productive for you.
At the end of the feedback form, we are requesting your opinion on summer academy as we start our planning process. Please take time to share your thoughts with us. We really want teachers, YOU, presenting sessions this summer on the great things you are doing in your classroom --with content skills and tech skills. At the end of the form is a place to put your name and topic you would like to do, if interested. Presenting for a day would count as one day of your comp time.
