Rome City Elementary School
Roman News August 2020
From the Principal's Desk...
Welcome to a new school year! The summer months always go quickly, but we are all very excited for the new school year to begin! We are excited to see all of the smiling faces again!
This year we will be focusing on health and safety. The pandemic has brought many fears to all of us, even kids. Our goals is to teach them how to live in a pandemic safe environment and how to keep themselves and others safe. We have so many precautions in place to make sure students have a clean environment. I appreciate any support from home to encourage social distancing and preventative talk at home to help support what we are teaching here at school.
We do have several changes in place since COVID seems to be dictating the world around us. We will continue to make changes as the Health Department and the governor change things. I will continue to update you through SchoolMessenger and our social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. If you have not joined our Rome City Elementary Facebook page, I encourage you to do so. We try to keep you updated on events through our daily Facebook posts. If at any time you have questions or concerns for me, please contact me by phone or email. I will help work through things with all families.
We are always looking for more parent volunteers and leaders. Please consider joining the parents each month for a light breakfast and share thoughts and ideas on making our kids learning impactful! The dates of our first few monthly meetings are listed below. If you are interested in attending, please call in to the office and let the ladies know.
This school year will be an interesting one with the pandemic controlling our lives. I want your child's learning experience to be a partnership. Please feel free to call me or email me if you would like to discuss any concerns or successes.
