Income and Housing
One indicator of wealth and poverty is the housing that people can afford. As personal income increases, people's demand for good quality housing increases and their interest in poor quality housing decreases. As personal income falls, good quality housing becomes less affordable and less attractive, and they are forced to buy poorer quality housing.
