Finish Strong Rams!

As we head into our final three weeks of school we want to encourage you as students and parents to partner with us in finishing the 2020-21 school year STRONG! This school year has come with many challenges and obstacles but we have worked to solve and overcome them together. Let's continue to work together to make these final weeks the best.

Highlighted Events

Parents, we want to draw your attention to some upcoming academic award events and encourage you to check your emails frequently for important messages from your student's principal and the school. We do have several events scheduled during these final weeks, so please check the school calendar and website, as times and dates can change with short notice.

7:00am - 3rd-5th Grade Academic Breakfast - Students with straight A's for 2 or 3 quarters will be invited. Next week, look for an emailed invitation from Mrs. Anderson.

Senior Spotlights 2021

H.S. League Band

On Monday, the Akron School was the host of this year's LPAA League Band event. That evening a concert was held with the students from around the league.
We are proud of Ms. Lowry and our music students. Great job!

Arbor Day Celebration

We are celebrating Arbor Day! Elementary students planted a tree and had a great science lesson today (April 29th) with Dolly Gonzales and Kristi Roseberry from the NRCS Office

Akron FFA Barnyard

Our Akron FFA students held their annual FFA Barnyard event today (April 29th).

LITTLE NELL

Congratulations to our Akron Drama students and their teachers Linda Campbell and Rick Kraich for putting on a wonderful play Tuesday night.

Akron Prom

The Akron Prom was held last Saturday at the Washington County Event Center.

Poetry Cafe

4th grade students shared their poems during a poetry cafe held in Mrs. Chapman's room on Thursday afternoon (April 29th).

1st Grade Field Trip

Last Thursday our 1st graders took a field trip to Wray to the Fish Hatchery, had lunch at the Rainbow Park in Wray, and then visited Mr. Bledsoe's home to learn about fossils and dinosaurs.
