HYBRID LEARNING RESUMES THIS WEEK
Thank you for your continued support of your student’s education during this school year. At this time, we would like to remind our parents and families of some key information regarding reporting attendance.
The purpose of attendance is to determine who is and who isn’t participating in learning that particular day. The reporting of attendance is a state requirement. No matter what learning model our students are currently experiencing, it is essential we report daily attendance per the state of Arizona statute.
How to report attendance when in Hybrid
While we are in Hybrid Learning, it is important to log-into Buzz on the days your child isn’t on campus to report their attendance; otherwise, parents will receive an email and/or phone call from their school’s attendance specialist to verify if they have been working on any school-related work that day.
During the period of hybrid learning the following students will be on campus on the following days:
- Mondays and Thursdays - Last name A-L
- Tuesday and Fridays - Last name M-Z
- Wednesdays - All students will learn virtually
Your student will continue to learn with their classroom teacher(s) for both in-person instruction and virtually. Teachers will continue with their classroom curriculum resources.
Please read these Frequently Asked Questions for key information, Should you have any other questions not addressed in the FAQ, please reach out to your school directly.
FREE Meal Pickup During Hybrid
Curbside meals will be offered at Gilbert Public Schools elementary school locations only. Student's do not need to be present. You may pick up one free breakfast and one free lunch per child, Monday–Friday from 7:00 am–9:00 am, on the days they are not attending in-person school. Just pick up and go.
NOTE: Children at school sites will be offered free breakfast and lunch according to their normal meal times. The USDA has extended free meals to all children 18 years and younger throughout the 2020-21 school year. No meals will be offered over winter break.

What Does It Mean To Be A Title I School?
Title I is the largest federal aid program for public schools. Schools can be designated as “Title I” if certain criteria are met. Title I is the federal government’s commitment to closing the achievement gap between low-income and moderate to high income students. These funds are used to help all students meet academic standards. Click the links below to learn more!
