Virtual Career Fair (with information about job opportunities)

When: Saturday, March 5

From: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Anyone interested in learning more about Mukilteo School District or interviewing for a certificated, paraeducator, or bus driver position is encouraged to register for the Career Fair on the district employment website.

KIDS Photography would like to give another opportunity to get your child's school pictures taken. This option is for any of our staff or students who have not had their picture taken this year, including anyone who missed makeup day or who is a new student.

This will be held on Saturday, March 5th 2022 at

Odyssey Elementary

(13025 17th Avenue W., Everett, WA 98204)

They will be set up outside, undercover in front of the school, so photos can be taken rain or shine.

Ordering and scheduling a time is a simple two-step process: with two separate links.

Kindergarten Registration for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year has been set for Monday, March 7th. Enrollment can be done online or parents can request a registration packet at the school office.

To register you will need a copy of

• Birth Certificate
• Proof of Residence (Electric bill, Leasing Agreement, etc.)
  
• Immunization Record

Immunizations are required for in person school attendance and are established by the State of Washington. Students must have current immunizations to attend school. The state law states that students who are out of compliance with immunization requirements will be excluded from school until those conditions are met. Learn more about the state’s immunization requirements on the district website.

Kindergarten parents who like to submit an in-district transfer, can fill out the request form online. Students do not need to be registered in order to submit the transfer. They will need to be registered before District Office can process the transfer in September.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to all who contributed through our food drive for Mukilteo Food Bank and your role in our effort to alleviate hunger in our community.

Let’s talk breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It powers up your body and brain. It provides energy to move and feeds the brains so that you can concentrate during the school day. Start your day off with a quick and tasty breakfast. Some ideas; cereal, pancakes, waffles, breakfast sandwich, or some fruit. No matter what you do, please do not start your day off without energizing your body and brain.

Thank you very much to our students, parents, and community for their support of our annual Kid Heart Challenge fundraiser. Your donations help to fund vital research and educate the public about cardiovascular disease and stroke. This year we met our goal of 100 students participating. I am so PROUD!! Our top collectors were: Henry R.(3rd), Cameron W.(4th), and Kai H. (5th). Way to go!

Sick Kids:

Keep your student home if they are sick. Even if you think it's allergies or "just the sniffles," staying home prevents others from catching any germs or viruses. Refer to Snohomish Health Department for specific COVID protocols.

• Remember it is your responsibility to contact the school 24 Hours attendance line at (425) 366-2605 to report absence.

Clothing:

Please remember to dress your child appropriately for outdoor play. Also, please send a set of extra clothes (regardless of grade) in a plastic bag labeled with your child's name, to be kept in their backpack.

Daily Screening Form:

Please use this Daily Screen Form (translations coming soon) with your child and keep wearing masks, washing your hands and limiting social gatherings to help students stay healthy and in school.

Student and Staff health and safety is our priority.

Free Meals for all Students!

• Meals for all students are free of charge regardless of Free/Reduced Status for the 21-22 school year.
• We encourage you to complete free/reduced applications, as you do need that completed to receive other benefits that are available (P-EBT Cards).
• Hot food will be served.
