Las Fallas takes place in Valencia, Spain every year. The celebration starts March 15th and goes until March 19th. The celebration is for St. Joseph the patron saint of carpenters. These days are also known as "Feast days" for St. Joseph.
Las Fallas itself
It is known as one of the most unique festivals in Spain. The word "Las Fallas" means the fires. It is basically the destruction of dolls or puppets. The dolls or "ninots" are set on fire on the last day of the celebration. The dolls are made out of paper-mache, cardboard or wood. The dolls are usually made to look like Spanish politicians or celebrities.
