Building a tradition of excellence one Bear at a time!
Mission Statement: Bryan High School, in partnership with students, families, and the community, provides a student-centered learning environment that cultivates character, fosters academic excellence, and embraces diversity to prepare students for post-secondary opportunity and career readiness.
Ortega’s Oration
Dear Bryan High Community,
Spring is here, and we are ready for warmer weather and sunshine here in Bear Country! Before we move forward, I would be remiss if I didn’t recap our athletic and academic improvements and successes.
· Your Bryan High Wrestling Team had a top 15 finish, with 3 medalists at State Wrestling. It had been 23 years since the Bears had 3 medalists at the State Championship.
· Your Bryan High Basketball Team finished the season with an improved record of 14-10. The year prior their record was 5-17.
· Your Bryan High Girls Basketball Team had a significantly larger number of girls who chose to play and will help build our program in the years ahead.
· Your Bryan High Swim Team had a good season, with a larger number of swimmers who will continue to help us in the future.
In addition to our sports' successes, we have much to be proud of academically as well. The US Secretary of Education, Dr. Miguel Cardona, visited our school on February 8th. We were honored to be the only school in Nebraska to be chosen. Dr. Cardona was impressed by our college and career academies and the opportunities afforded to all our students in Bear Country!
#TogetherBetter #WeAreBryan
Go Bears!
Dr. Ortega, Principal
