Lending Library

Have you checked out our Lending Library website? At this time, the Costa Mesa Lending Library will be open on Fridays from 10am to noon and 3pm to 5pm for pick-ups only. Once you receive an email stating that your items are available for pick-up, please feel free to stop by on Fridays during either of the 2 block pick-up times to retrieve your order.


Please note: when you enter the Lending Library site, the Costa Mesa location will not come up as an option, as we are still adding items. You are able to borrow from other locations, and select Costa Mesa as a pick-up location.

Picture Day

Don't forget our Picture Day is this Friday at 11am-1pm. If you have any questions, please contact Lori Silvio- loris@inspireschools.org.

Community and Connection

Pumpkin Launch at Cal State Fullerton

What is Pumpkin Launch? Pumpkin Launch is a free-community event that invites guests to come onto a university campus and participate in a fun-filled STEM festival. The headlining event invites local engineer clubs and student Pumpkin Launch contestants to use the principles of STEM to build trebuchet machines that send pumpkins high in the sky and towards large targets lining the field – sometimes more than 50 yards! The team with the highest score wins the coveted Pumpkin Launch trophy! Join Discovery Cube and Cal State University, Fullerton at Cal State Fullerton’s athletic field for a day of flight, engineering, and pumpkin-smashing hijinks on Saturday, November 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Holiday Faire

The Irvine Fine Arts Center will host its 36th annual Holiday Faire on Friday, November 2, 5-9 p.m., and Saturday, November 3, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. More than 100 talented local artists will showcase unique handmade gifts for purchase, including holiday decorations, hand-blown glass, ceramics, jewelry, folk crafts, clothing, and more. Featuring festive holiday music, the faire offers the opportunity to shop while experiencing the excitement of the season. Selected food items are available for purchase in collectible ceramic bowls and mugs made by Irvine Fine Arts Center volunteers. Admission: $2 per person; ages 12 and younger, free. Location: 14321 Yale Ave., Irvine (in Heritage Community Park)

Community Day at Back Bay Science Center

Join the Newport Back Bay Science Center every Sunday, from 10am-2pm, as they host their weekly Community Day! At this free event, families may tour the the facility, including the loop trail and marine life, and learn about education programs and public involvement opportunities. Kids will also have the chance to participate in fun hands-on activities to help them learn more about the ocean! No reservations required.
