Due to Grade 5 state testing in science and the need for blocks of uninterrupted time, the following changes to schedules for Grade 2 and Grade 5 will be made for April 6th, April 7th, and April 8th:

Specials Switches

• Grade 2 will go to specials at 9:10 a.m.
• Grade 5 will go to specials at 1:25 p.m.

Lunch/Recess Switches

• Brumwell/Rich/Taylor - Lunch at 10:45 a.m., Recess at 11:15 a.m.
• Smallan - Lunch at 11:20 a.m., Recess at 11:50 a.m.
• Grade 5 - Lunch at 12:30 p.m., Recess at 1:00 p.m.

There will be separate changes for most grades for specials and lunches/recesses for the two weeks following spring break. This information will be shared next week.

We are looking forward to the LWJES Family Night Out on Thursday, April 7, 2022. Please review the flyer below for additional information which was also sent home on bright green paper. Tickets are $10 per person, and this will support our school as a fundraiser. All proceeds benefit the LWJES Student Generated Fund. This supports school incentives and appreciation programs. Family Night Out fundraisers have replaced other school fundraisers this year, and we appreciate your support of our school and programs at our school!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Kids Heart Challenge and raised funds for the American Heart Association! Thanks to your efforts, our school passed the goal set and raised $14,640.64 to help those with special hearts. Wow! Additionally, thank you gifts will be distributed once they are received at the school, and we will have some special recognition for individuals and the school in the upcoming weeks.

There is no school for spring break. The school office will also be closed for spring break.

• Spring break begins on Monday, April 11, 2022.
• Spring break ends on Monday, April 18, 2022.
• Classes resume on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
