- Once students are finished, they will clean up their area and go directly to their designated area until the 8:20 bell rings.
Dismissal procedures
- If a student needs to be dismissed during the school day for early release, the best process is for parent/guardians to contact the ISMS Front Office @ 817-744-3200 when they are on their way to the school so that the student can be called down to the office for dismissal.
- Students will wait in the front office area until the parent/guardian arrives. Please note, that if a student has not been picked up after approximately fifteen minutes they will be sent back to class in an effort to limit the amount of instructional time missed.
- Parents may also come directly to the school without calling, with the understanding that there may be a wait time for the student to be located and brought to the front office.
- Beginning this year, to check out a student, parents will use the new "Raptor" system that has been installed in the Front Office Vestibule.
- We ask that no students be early released after 3:15 each afternoon.
- 5th/6th grade students will be released at 3:55 each day.
- 7th/8th grade students will be released at 4:00 each day.
- Students participating in after school activities must be in their designated location within 10 minutes of the final dismissal bell.
- All non-bus riding students will exit the building through the main doors in the front of the building.
- All bus riders will exit through the back doors closest to the cafeteria.
- Students must leave campus in a timely manner after school.
- 5th/6th grade parent pickup will be in the car loop on closest to the athletics door by the gym (Bursey Road Entrance).
- 7th/8th grade parent pickup will be in the car loop closest to the library (Willis Lane Entrance).
