Welcome Back
Important Health & Safety Information
- Please remember to screen your child for illness every morning prior to sending him/her to school. Specific signs and symptoms of Covid to look for are: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, the new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, or vomiting, and diarrhea. If you have any concerns or doubts, please contact the school nurse before bringing your son or daughter to school as it is our primary goal and objective to keep the school open every day this year.
- All students are required to wear a mask that correctly fits over their mouth and nose at all times in the building as mandated by the Governor's Executive Order # 251. Teachers will be providing mask breaks throughout the day as needed. Exceptions to this mandate are also aligned in the district's reopening plan and include such times as phys ed, mealtimes, and whenever individuals can stay socially distanced. If a student needs a mask break while in their classes, they will need to speak to their teacher. The teacher will arrange the mask break for the student. Students do not need to wear a mask while outside.
School Lunch Program
In addition to the free lunch items, a la carte items may also be available from Maschio's for purchase. For menus or more information, please see the district website.
Elementary School Parent Drop-off & Parent Pick-up Procedures
Doors open for student drop-off at 8:55 am each morning. Parents are asked to pull to the middle doors where students will exit curbside and be assisted into the building by our duty staff. We ask all families to remain in their vehicles so that we may keep traffic flowing.
Students should not be dropped off unless duty personnel is present. Doors close at 9:05 am. If you are running late, kindly park and escort your child to the main entrance where he or she will be buzzed into the building.
Dismissal:
Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:35 pm. Students will be dismissed from the middle doors of the building. The duty staff and SRO will assist in directing traffic. All cars will remain parked until signaled to move. Please arrive do not arrive at campus earlier than 3:25 pm for parent pick-up.
In order to expedite afternoon dismissal, place a sign with your child(ren)'s name on the windshield. This will help our duty staff quickly point our students in the right direction!
Lastly, please note that early dismissals from the main office cease after 3:15 pm as the main office staff needs time to prepare for afternoon dismissal. Please remember to email Mrs. Piccinnini in the main office if your child should be added to our parent pick-up list.
Please see the slides linked below for further information about parent drop-off and pick-up.
