Jaguar Journal

Jaguar Journal is your student produced monthly guide to what's happening at GIVE Center East.

New Teacher Spotlight

Ms.Wright explains that the reason she became a teacher was because she wanted to do for her students what her teacher did for her. She explains that her teachers made sure she got a good education, helped with life experiences and treated the students just as if they did anyone else. We asked what her favorite part of her job was, she goes on to say that she loves the students, families, and most of all, watching the kids grow. Other than Give Center East, Ms.Wright has Norton elementary, Nesbit elementary, and Meadowcreek. We asked her what challenges young face today and she said “Ineffective support systems, schools have these support systems that aren't beneficial for the students.” In Ms.Wrights free time, not only does she love to help her students, but she loves to rap. Yes, that's right, she's actually already produced two albums…one being with her students. We asked how she feels about give east and she said she feels very blessed to be apart of the system, be able to help the kids and she's grateful she took the opportunity she had. She is currently one of the teachers apart of the achieve program. It is a comprehensive intervention program, designed to help support students achievements.
