Israeli Revolt Against The Greek's In Jerusalem!!!
The Maccabees! The Heros!
The year is 167 B.C. The Jewish people are being religiously persecuted by the invading Greeks. The less devote houses have begun to fall into the Greek culture. They begin to dress, act, and eat like the Greeks. They also participate in Greek god's religious ceremonies. The devote Jews are horrified and disgusted with their fellow country men. In time, factions form and lines are drawn between the supporters of the invading Greeks and the devote Jews. The religious persecution continues to worsen and in time. A devote Jewish family called the Maccabees led what was surely a suicidal rebellion against the Greek rule. It was long and bloody, but against all odds they won and drove the Greeks from all of Israel. If the Maccabees hadn't been so bold and had so much faith in their God, who knows how Israel would have ended up.
