The Juliette Gordon Birthplace

The Andrew Low house was built for him in 1818-1821. He was a wealthy man and was portrayed as a "great man". He had a a daughter named Juliette Gordon Low who later became the founder of the Girl Scouts. The Andrew Low house preserves some of their finest collections of period furnishings relating to the history of Savannah and the Low family. The house remained with the family until the death of Juliette Low. Then the National society of the colonial dames of America in the state of Georgia took it over. And halfway restored it. The house it basically the holy land for Girl Scouts.
