Awards Day
Friday, June 2nd is a very special day here at Central. Students will receive awards for academics, attendance and club participation. Mr. Meyer will lead our amazing choir and Miss Erler, Mrs. Estridge, and Mrs. Jordan along with the fifth grade students will share a wonderful presentation as a farewell to Central School.
PTA and parent volunteers will also be celebrated! We will have a special refreshment area set up when you bring your child at 8:30 a.m. to show our appreciation for those who have helped out in any way this year. We are proud to honor all the hard work you have put in throughout the year!
The program starts at 9:00 a.m. Parents are welcome to attend! We look forward to an exciting ceremony! Hope to see you there!
Teacher Appreciation Thanks!
Our Central staff had a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week! Our Central parents and PTA outdid themselves! Our teachers and staff were provided with several amazing, fun-filled days that we all appreciated and enjoyed so much. From rays of praise, to summer fun gifts, we all are so thankful for all of the many ways you spoiled our staff! None of this would have happened without the help of our wonderful parents.
Our week was topped off with all staff taking home a dinner on Friday night. We would like to thank Danielle Berg-O’Reilly at Duneland Pizza for their generous discounted take-and-bake pizzas that were truly amazing! Head out to Chesterton to sample other varieties at their pizzeria! We would also like to thank Wireman's BBQ for donating food for our delicious luncheon on Wednesday along with Roots & Sunrise Foods for the donation of the salad fixings. Delicious!
Finally, we would like to thank our fantastic chair people, Jaime Perz and Shelby Topping. You truly gave us a week to remember! Thanks to all of you who gave of your time and contributed donations. It is all so greatly appreciated!
*There are still some items left in the lounge. Please be sure to get your bowls, coolers, etc. as soon as possible.
