Free Meditation Apps
There’s no shortage of mindfulness and meditation apps these days, promising to help you combat anxiety, sleep better, hone your focus, and more. In fact, the Wall Street Journal reports that more than 2,000 new meditation apps launched between 2015 and 2018, and offerings have only increased as a result of higher demand during the pandemic—according to the New York Times, mindfulness apps surged in 2020. We took the overwhelm out of finding the most valuable and easy-to-use meditation apps that are available free and narrowed it down to these four apps.

November 16th is the Great American Smokeout!
On the third Thursday in November, thousands of Americans will commit to stop using tobacco, and start their journey to a healthier lifestyle. For more than 40 years, the Great American Smokeout has encouraged smokers across the country to quit for one day in the hopes they will quit for good.
Smoking cigarettes is the leading cause of preventable disease and death in the United States. Right now, millions of Americans are living with a disease caused by smoking. Smoking causes one of every four deaths from cardiovascular disease, 80 - 90% of lung cancer deaths and 80% of deaths from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) *.
Quitting smoking is the best thing you can do for your health. The benefits of quitting begin within minutes of smoking your last cigarette. Only 20 minutes after quitting smoking, your heart rate drops closer to a normal level. After just one day, nicotine levels in your body drop to zero. After a couple months, you will cough and wheeze less. And after one year, your risk of a heart attack is half that of someone who smokes.
