PARENTS:
As we did last year, the Halloween Parade will be in front of the elementary building. We ask parents to line up outside (starting a little before 8 am -after buses and cars clear). Parents may go to classrooms early to drop off items or setup games if needed. Due to space, please do not join your child in the gym. Students will leave the gym through the front doors and parade in front of the building, walking toward the playground. They will then enter the back doors and go to classrooms. Parents are welcome to visit classrooms from 8:15-9:15 am after the parade.

Veteran's Day Celebration - November 8
The Blair Oaks R-II School District will be having its annual Veterans Day celebration on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. in the high school gymnasium.
Vietnam War Army Combat Nurse Donna Rowe will be this year's featured speaker. For 369 days in 1968-69, Captain Rowe was the head nurse of the combat trauma unit in the 3rd Field Hospital near Saigon. An outspoken advocate of our nation's wounded warriors, Donna has incredible firsthand experience of their courage, heroism, and sacrifice.
Our Veterans Day letter is linked below and contains more information as well as the list of service personnel who will be included in the video presentation. Please review the list and contact the high school office with names that should be added.
Serving Now or in the Future?
Last year during our Veterans Day assembly, we were able to recognize parents of students and family members of our staff that are currently serving or will be serving within the year. We would love to do that again this year.
We are in need:
Kroger Community Rewards
Quarterly Update
Thank you for your support and shopping with Gerbes!
Change Bandit
Our second quarter project is a partnership with the University of Missouri Children's Hospital called Change Bandit. The concept is simple: gather up loose change and make a big difference in the lives of children who come to Children's Hospital every day. We encourage you to ask family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to donate their loose change to the fundraising effort.
We will have activities throughout 2nd quarter such as hat days and rock-paper-scissors tournaments to help raise money for this cause. More information will go home at a later date.
