Grades Updated
Teachers don't forget to update your grade books. The nine weeks are coming to the end. Staying caught up is easier than catching up!
Teacher's Lounge Copy Machine
Due to the high volume of copies made on our copy machine, it has been recommended that we get a new machine. We currently are in the process of doing that. In the meantime, it has also been recommended that we avoid connecting teachers' laptops to the copy machine. When teachers print directly from their computer, it interferes with copies that may be in process. This, consequently, increases the probability for jamming.
Our new printing practice is:
- Print one copy to your personal computer
- Bring that copy to the copy machine to be copied.
If you need toner for your printer please see Brandy or Meghan
Hallway Procedures
Please remember that the hallways and sidewalks are quiet spaces. Let's work as a team and respect other classrooms as we travel throughout the hallways.
Holiday Cheer
As you may already know, we have a few students and sibling groups that are apart of family groups in need. The holidays can be an upsetting time of year for these students because they may not receive much for Christmas. The counseling department is holding a a Christmas drive for one week only to support these students. Carly will place a Winter Snowflake in your mailboxes. Please select one student from your class that might be in need of clothes or a Christmas gift. Return that snowflake back to Carly by Wednesday December 9. The snowflakes will be hung in the Collaboration Station. On Wednesday, if you feel you can support a student please pick up a snowflake from the Collaboration Station. Please feel free to pick up more than one snowflake. Bring in all purchased items by Wednesday, December 16, 2015 so that they can be delivered to the families before Christmas break.
BRIGHT Bucks
Just a friendly reminder, our star-bright party is coming up soon. Students should recieve B.R.I.G.H.T. Bucks for showing that they are aligned to one of the letters in the acronym. Please also remember that students should only earn B.R.I.G.H.T. Bucks. B.R.I.G.H.T. Bucks shouldn't be taken away.
Teacher Highlight
There are so many wonderful things going on in everyone's classrooms and it's difficult for everyone to see it. Biweekly we will be highlighting a teacher and their best practices. Check out the link below as we highlight Ms. Jones in 2nd grade and how she differentiates in her class!
If there is a teammate and best practice that you would like to nominate, please send your suggestions to Ms. Stewart.
