Attendance Matters

Thank you for being so diligent and checking in first thing each morning! Attendance is vital to our success in this distance education environment. If your child is absent or if have any internet troubles, please continue to email Keep up the great work!

May Crowning: April 29th

On April 29th, our 8th grade class planned to crown Mary. The queen symbol was attributed to Mary because she was a perfect follower of Christ, who is the absolute ‘crown’ of creation.

Let us be sure to honor our Blessed Mother in our hearts and our homes on this day and throughout the month of May. The recitation of the family rosary each day, images of our Blessed Mother, having a special shrine in your yard, and having your own family May Crowning are wonderful ways not only to foster devotion and faith, but also to draw us closer to the heart of Our Savior.

Please send us your May Crowning pictures or post on Viatorians R Us Facebook Page.

8th Grade Parents,

The month of May is upon us and our hearts are breaking that we cannot do more with our graduates. If we could figure out how to get Billi Eilish to sing for us right now, we would! Instead, please start planning now to make May 15th special for your student.

Normally, the girls leave school early to get their hair and nails done. Assuming salons are not open, plan a spa day at home. Have a nice dinner via zoom with friends. If you decide to dress up and dance at home, please send video and pictures! Have fun this day!

Be Sure to Build into each day

Gentle Reminder

As we wind down the school year, final statements were emailed last week. For clarification:

Local Field Trips: We were able to cancel all tour buses and retain any trip entrance fees. $25 for each trip was returned.

6th Grade Field Trip: Pali Mountain expressed that they are not in a financial position to refund the 6th grade class trip. "Pali books its reservations often a year in advance. Payments for attendance at camp Pali are part of our operating revenues, placed in our general account. Payments for camp trips are not deposits placed in a trust account, such as might be the case for professional services. We use operating revenues to maintain Pali’s 280 acres, ensure the proper equipment is available and maintained in good condition, and trained personnel are on-site for the safety of the children. For Pali to run smoothly, there is extensive year round planning that takes place. Pali is using deposit funds to hire, train, first aid certify and schedule our RN’s, LVN’s, Instructors, Ropes Course Facilitators, Housekeepers, Kitchen staff, etc. well in advance of each trip. It is precisely for this reason that trips are fully paid far in advance of the arrival date." Based upon your survey feedback, we have moved the Pali Mountain field trip to the Fall.

7th Grade Field Trip: The deposit to Carson City was non-refundable, which was communicated back In the Fall in the packet. Because we were so close to the trip, much had been sent out to the various entities (buses, boats, tours, etc.). We continue to work with our travel partners. We have refunded what we have received. If or when more is returned, we will return.

8th Grade Field Trip: WorldStrides will honor the Full Refund Program for those that purchased insurance, as we've already discussed. For those who did not purchase FRP, you will also get a similar cash refund, with an adjustment of $269 for just a small portion of WorldStrides' unrecoverable costs. No action is required on your part to begin the refund process. Please note your exact refund amount may vary depending on what you've paid in toward your trip cost at this time. You can log-in to your account on MyTrip to view what you paid toward your trip. Fees are not refundable. If you need additional clarification, you can reach out directly to a special hotline for WorldStrides' Customer Support at 800-468-5899. Due to the high volume of refunds being processed, WorldStrides has asked for your understanding on timing. Families can expect to receive refunds in 4-6 weeks from your scheduled departure date. Please keep us posted.
