PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Dear Roosevelt Parents/Guardians,
Calling All Veterans!
Roosevelt will hold its annual Veteran’s Day Recognition day on Friday, November 9. We are inviting all veterans to spend the day with us. Our veteran guests will participate in a school assembly and visit classrooms to speak with students. If you know a veteran, who might be interested in participating, please have them contact the school office at 847-318-4235.
Roosevelt History Project
As many of you know, Roosevelt is celebrating its 90th school year. A former Roosevelt student is collecting history on Roosevelt School for his Eagle Scout Project.
If you or someone you know attended Roosevelt and want to share your stories, you can view the questions prepared here and contact Jonathan at roosevelthistory90@gmail.com. If you happen to have pictures of the school or of artifacts (report cards, event fliers), you can also upload them to this folder here (I have put in some old pictures of Roosevelt from my research). Thank you in advance for your help!
Sincerely,
Dr. Dwyer, Principal

· Park legally – don’t block crosswalks or double park
· Respect school neighbors – please do not park in or block their driveways.
· Parents and children should not use the Staff parking lot
· Do not make U-turns or turn around in driveways.
· “Attended” parkers must stay in their vehicles at all times.
· Obey “kiss ’n go” zones on Prospect Avenue

Put Your Child’s Name on Everything!
As winter approaches, students are bringing more clothing items to school each day. Write your child’s name and teacher’s name on hats, gloves, coats, lunch bags, boots, backpacks, and all other items. Items will be donated after the fall parent/teacher conferences; Holiday Sing; Spring Break; and Summer Break.
