Arrivals and Dismissals

First and foremost we want to be sure our children get to school and return home safely each day. Below is the carpool map for dropping off by car from Caravan Drive.

Walkers come in through Marchman Way. We now have two crosswalks for children to cross safely. The crosswalk at Marchman Way and Caravan Drive has a crossing guard. The new crosswalk is located a little further north at Marchman Way and Wheatland. It does not have a crossing guard and requires parents to cross with their children.

The smaller drive on Marchman Way is reserved for buses, daycare and to support special needs.

Documenting Excused Absences:

Student attendance accounting will be based on state law TEC §25.092, as well as Plano ISD Policy FEC(Local) and (Legal).

Students are required to attend at least 90% of their classes to receive credit and be promoted.

Students with a quarantine order issued by a physician or local health authority will receive excused absences for that period of time. Voluntary quarantines may be excused with a written notice from a physician.

Last Day of School

A School Based Improvement Committee (SBIC) is established at each campus in the state of Texas. The committee serves in an advisory role. In the role, the committee is reviews campus goals, campus educational planning, and performance objectives. The committee also reviews the Campus Improvement Plan and is invited to provide feedback.

Our committee consists of staff members, district-level personnel, parents, community members (residents of the district, but not parents of students), and business representatives. Parent membership includes a PTA representative, one parent appointed by the principal, and four parents determined by a random drawing from among volunteers. Members serve for a two to three year term.

If you would be interested in serving on the committee, please complete the information below.
