Hope everyone had a great long weekend. Welcome back and lets get busy. We have lots of things to learn this week and activities to do together.

What We Are Doing This Week

Reading:

We will finish up our reading of “Somebody Loves You Mr. Hatch”. We will be using Inferencing and context clues to help us in looking more in depth at our story.


Starting on Wednesday we will start a new story called "Cloudette". Again the students will be making inferences and looking at context clues to help them in understanding words in the text that they may not know the meaning.


Phonics:

Lesson 76 - g That Sounds Like j

Lesson 77 - Trigraph dge

Lesson 78 - Spelling with dge and ge

Lesson 79 - Spelling with ch and tch


Spelling: Test 15


Writing:

Students will be writing a personal narrative. First we will brainstorm together, then they will take that information and start writing a rough draft.


Cursive: Writing words with the letters n, m, y, x, v and z in them; Working on the downcurve letters and overcurve letters for capital letters.
