Volcanic eruptions
Describe the pyroclastic material and magma
What is pyroclastic material?
Volcanic ash and dust.
Pyroclastic material is volcanic ash and that surrounds the volcano when it erupts.also pyroclastic particles are less than 2mm in diameter and called volcanic ash.also volcanic ash that it less than 0.25 mm in diameter is called volcanic dust.
Lapilli
Lapilli are pyroclastic particle that are less than 64 mm in diameter that are called lapilli. also lapilli generally falls near the vent.when the volcano erupts.
Volcanic blocks and volcanic bombs.
Volcanic bombs and volcanic blocks are pyroclastic material and large chunks of rock that is made from an erupting volcano.when a volcano erupts red hot lava is thrown up in the air and starts to spin as it cool is develops a round shape.these pyroclastic particles are called volcanic bombs.also the largest pyroclastic material is know as volcanic blocks.these volcanic blocks are are form from solid rock that has been blasted from the vent and some of these volcanic blocks are even the size of a small house.

Types of Mafic Magma
Pahoehoe lava
The pahoehoe is the least viscous type of mafic lava because it turns wrinkled when it cools
Aa lava
Aa lava is more viscous than the pahoehoe lava because when it form a sharp volcanic rock when it cools.
blocky lava
Blocky lava is most viscous type of lava because it forms chunky volcanic rock when it cools.
"types of cones"
Three different types of cones.
Shield volcanoes
Shield volcanoes are sloping sides that are called shield volcanoes.these volcanoes are wide areas and generally form from quiet eruptions.also these volcanoes have hot layers and mafic lava that flows out from the vent.as they start to harden.they slowly start to form a shape of a cone that is called the shield volcanoes.
Cinder cones
Cinder cones are pyroclastic material that is a type of volcano that has steep slopes which it is called cinder cones.
Composite volcanoes.
Composite volcanoes are pyroclastic material that are made up of alternating layers, harden lava flows.and pyroclastic material.these volcanoes are usually form from quiet eruptions.during a quiet eruption lava flows and covers all the sides of the the cone.
