Beginner chess classes in beautiful Washington Sqaure Park!

The Washington Square Association, the venerable institution founded more than one hundred years ago to enhance the interests of the Park and its environs, is pleased to announce "WSA Kids in Culture" a free pilot program of art and chess lessons for children aged 11 through 13 in Washington Square Park, the center of Village Culture.
The free program is to take place the last week of May and the first week of June.
The "WSA Kids in Culture" program is presented by the Washington Square Association in cooperation with the Salmagundi Club, our neighbor on Fifth Avenue, a center for American Art since since 1871, and the Marshall Chess Club, the historic chess club located in the heart of Greenwich Village.
The Chess course is intended for children who have recently learned how the pieces move, or are still learning. Classes are taught by experienced instructors Jarret Petrillo and Eddie Hai.
Class size is limited to 12 students. So if you have a child who might be interested, please sign up now! Don't miss this wonderful opportunity.
