If you are a parent with a child enrolled in the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (DPIL) program, we need your help to make it even more magical! Please take a moment to fill out our survey and share your thoughts. Your feedback will help us improve and expand the program to reach more kids in Muskegon, Oceana, and Newaygo County! Plus, you'll be entered to win one of ten adorable Dolly Parton Imagination Library shirts for your child or a household appliance!
If you aren't enrolled in DPIL, you can enroll your children 0-5 years old in Muskegon County to receive a free book in the mail every month until they turn 5, thanks to the United Way of the Lakeshore!

Free family fun in downtown Muskegon, May 4, 10 am - 3 pm
Join Goodwill Industries of West MI, Great Start Family Coalitions, and United Way of the Lakeshore to sort books for kids on Wednesday March 13, Wednesday April 3 & Wednesday April 24 !
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
We will be sorting children's books from the collection hoppers at Goodwill Industries. Volunteers clean the donated children's books so that they can be given to children for free in Goodwill Stores and at community events! It is a ton of fun, and is an easy way to make sure our littlest readers are prepared for school!

This program provides
•Safe Haven- Taking Back Muskegon provides a safe place for the youth to gather during the summer with structured activities.
•Tutoring-By partnering with local schools and businesses and other community organizations, Taking Back Muskegon can learn the needs of the children and tailor our mentoring program accordingly. . •Performing Arts- such as music, drama and dance which the youth will get to perform Here our youth get to express one's emotions and feelings.
•Activities-During the summer sessions the kids participate in social activities, such as spelling competitions, role playing, and many other activities where they learn interpersonal skills. There are also special events that they will get experience many facets involved in running a company.
