Book Fair

The PTA Book Fair is coming up! The PTA is excited to bring the opportunity for students, parents and teachers to buy new books in the Elementary Presentation Room. There will be lots of fantastic titles not available in Doha. Prices rage from 15 QR to 80 QR. The books are priced so that the vast majority cost about 20qr to 25qr each. They are priced comparably to what they would be priced at in book fairs in schools in the United States.

We are going on Monday. You are invited to send money in with your child to purchase book at the fair. This is not required, but students enjoy purchasing books to read at this time. This is a great opportunity to expand students personal library and grow as readers.

This is a cash only event. Please send cash if your child would like to buy books.

Our class will be going to the book fair on Monday from 1:00-1:20pm.

  • Monday October 12th and Tuesday October 13th- Reserved for class visits
  • Wednesday October 14th and Thursday October 15th- The Book Fair will be open to all parents from 7:40am - 3:30pm or until quantities are gone

High Frequency Words-- Lists Sent Home

You will find in the Green Home Folder lists A-F of the High Frequency Words. Students need to practice these and should know them by the end of the school year. They should be able to read these words accurately and quickly (no sounding out, no pausing). I've highlighted the lists your child need to continue to work on. If nothing is highlighted, your child can just review as needed. If there are lists highlighted, I would recommend you practice these lists when possible. Thank you for your support with these at home!

Social Studies

We are wrapping up our Social Studies Unit:

  • acting out the ASD Values
  • Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon-- being proud of yourself
  • making a poster to show the ASD Values
