RCE Parent Update October 10, 2022
SAFETY FIRST/SEGURIDAD PRIMERO
The safety of our students is our first priority. We want to assure our families that our district and schools have an updated emergency operations plan that has been created/reviewed in collaboration with local law enforcement. We respectfully ask that all parents follow school protocols while on campus for the safety of our entire school community.
Arrival
- Please talk to your child about this year's safety drills. The drills are listed below. If you feel that your child needs additional support, please contact his/her counselor.
- Our car rider lane is available with adult and student support between 7:20-7:55 am every morning. Our staff will report to their instructional duties at 7:55 am.
Use the car rider drop off in the morning. Do not drop off children in the parking lot. This is for the safety of all. Children must be escorted by an adult across all crosswalks. If you are parking and entering the building, park your vehicle in the parking lot and cross only at a crosswalk.
Dismissal
- Families entering the dismissal line without a Car Rider Tag must park and get a Car Rider Tag from the front office.
- Sunset Ridge Walkers: Do not park on the lawns of our neighbors or block access to their homes by parking on both sides of Sunset Breeze Drive. If you are driving to pick up your child, consider picking them up from school or parking at the Sunset Ridge Recreation Center.
- Balmoral/Etterridge Walkers: Do not park at Autumn Ridge to remove your child from the walker line. I've directed teachers to walk our students to the corner of Balmoral Hills Drive and Woodland Hills Drive. If you are driving to pick up your child, consider picking them up from school or parking on Balmoral Hills Drive.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me. We are here to support you and your family.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Davis
Sinceramente,
Stephanie Davis
