Happy Friday Shark Families!

It was a wonderful week learning and growing at MAST! Our 2nd grade sharks had their first swim lesson, K5 students went on their community field trip, and our 3-5 grade students showed tremendous growth on their first MAP test of the spring! We are so proud of each student! Next week is full of events as well. There is a lot of information. On Wednesday, we also have Spring Picture day so please make sure your shark is here on time so they are not missed. Thank you and have an awesome weekend!

Students and families enjoyed time together building, creating, and measuring to complete tasks related to our Engineer and Design Process or what MAST calls our EDP. This event was a great way to share with our families how we try to gear students and their thinking daily!

Our Beta Club competed in a virtual State Competition this year. Out of the entire state of SC Beta Elementary Schools, MAST placed in both 4th and 5th grades! MAST 4th graders received 1st place in 4th grade Math and 4th grade Language Arts~! Way to go Sharks!!!

This is a huge event every year!! We would love for you to come see all of the exhibits and see our school's exhibit as well! Please look for our MAST tent and our SHARKS as we share what we have learned this year.

This event will take place in the streets of downtown Greenville, SC from 11am-5pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023!

Lexia Core 5 is a new computer and teacher based program that will help students build literacy skills essential to learning. We have the ability to send home LEXIA TIPS for any skill that students may be struggling with in the program. Please be on the lookout for these opportunities to help support students.

Many parents don’t realize that they can receive an email of their child’s progress from Schoology. They can choose which days and times they would like to get the update! For example, daily at 2:30 PM OR every Thursday at 4:00. This and other helpful tips can be found by clicking on Schoology at the top of our SDPC webpage!
