Early Learning Programming Updates

On behalf of our Early Learning team we hope you all had a fun and relaxing summer! This summer our team enjoyed spending time with families during our Wednesday morning weekly playdates at Paradise Park. We continued to work with families in our home visiting program offering both virtual and outdoor in-person visits. Our Summer lunch program was a huge success with the help of many volunteers! We were able to provide 200 lunches each week to children in our community. We offered our 1st Kindergarten Ready Camp and Popsicles in the Park Event for incoming kindergarten learners, helping them transition to their new schools!

We are happy to share that this Fall we will hosting the following special activities:

Paradise Park Playdates

Park Playdates are back!! We are so happy to continue our park playdates this fall. We will be hosting a 6 week series of playdates every Wednesday morning at Paradise Park from 10am-11am starting September 22nd - October 27th.

Braves Book Club

Starting October 14th we will be hosting a Little Braves Book Club Series. This year we will be offering a 5 week in-person club at our Brave Kids Learning Center. The goal of Braves Book Club series is to provide our families with new books, activities, songs, fun family friendly recipes, child development information, and enjoy time with other Little Braves and their caregivers.

How will it work?

  • You will sign up each child ages 1yr and older for the series through our online registration (note: space is limited so please make sure you only sign up for the dates you will be able to attend.)
  • The club will meet for 5 Thursday mornings starting October 14th - November 11th from 10am-11am.
  • Book Club will include story time, group craft, song time, and snacks. Each family will receive a copy of the week's book to take home.

Read Under the Lights

Save the Date for Thursday September 30th from 6pm-7:30pm. We will be hosting our Read Under the Lights event at Pequea Valley High School Stadium. This is a special literacy night for learners of all ages to enjoy with their families and our athletes. There will be a variety of reading/activity stations run by our student athletic teams, raffle prizes, free books, and snacks available for purchase. Kindergarten Transition

Is your child entering Kindergarten next year? PV's Early Learning Team offers a variety of resources and activities for our learners and families during this transition year. To stay up to date and have all the information please sign up to be added to our Kindergarten 2022/2023 email list by registering your child for a Kindergarten Readiness Kit! Kindergarten Readiness Kits

PV is currently distributing our Kindergarten Readiness Literacy Kits.

These kits will be available to any child who is 4yrs old or older that will be enrolling in Kindergarten at Pequea Valley School District for the 2022-2023 school year.

They will have supplies and resources to help prepare your child for kindergarten.

Home Visiting

We are offering virtual and in-person visits for our PV families interested in the Parents as Teachers Curriculum. For more information follow the link below

Welcome Baby Brave Kits

We will continue to provide our PV families our Baby Brave Kits. Kits include a variety of supplies and resources for your infant, along with our program information.

If you have an infant and are residing in the PV district please fill out the form below and we will contact you to set up a delivery.

Braves Book Box- Little Free Library

Looking to freshen up your home library? Stop by the Together Community Center and check out our Braves Book Box! We have a variety of free books for the whole family.

Plant the Seed and Grow the Seed of Learning

PV is excited to still be partnering with Plant the Seed and Grow the Seed of Learning this year. They have made the decision to do their programming online for the 2022-2023 school year. They will be offering sessions November through April. Each session will have an online sign up and virtual session with resources that will be released via email. We will provide families with a take home bag, pick up time, and location.
