November is here and it is a busy one!
Thank you for your support and understanding of the efforts to provide our teachers with some great professional development in attending La Cosecha 2019 next week. Please see the notice below that offers childcare for next week to those that might need it. You need to have the digital copy, sent via email, to click and RSVP. It opens on your mobile device as well!
We had our NM Public Education Department renewal visit last week. It went really well and I want to thank those of you that were able to attend the interviews and our Governing Board members, as well. And, thank you for allowing your child(ren) to be interviewed. The PED team were very impressed with the responses by both the parent group and the student group. We will receive our visit report and our annual school evaluation report within the next few weeks. We will have some time to respond and prepare for our meeting in front of the Public Education Commission on Thursday, December 12th. We will have 15 minutes to present to the PEC and the public will have 8 minutes (total) to comment. I would highly encourage all parents to attend. We are second on the list of renewals so I cannot give an exact time. The meeting will be held in Santa Fe at Mabry Hall. We will have members of the leadership team in attendance, and we will be inviting our Student Ambassadors to attend with us. If you are interested in attending, please let me know via email and we can coordinate a carpool. It would be great to see an audience of SABE shirts representing the best escuelita in Rio Rancho!!
Thank you for continuing to complete your volunteer logs sent to you last week. Please continue to complete these through the end of December and turn them in for a Happy New Year raffle!!!!!
Our PTA deserves a huge "THANK YOU" for their work on our Annual Fall Festival! Thank you for the many contributions of time, talent, and treasure to make this a great success. Thank you, Mrs. Gallegos and the Rio Rancho High School ROTC group in assisting in making the Fall Festival a great success. Even getting a pie in the face made the event more fun!

Also, if you are in need of childcare on the 13th, 14th, & 15th, please let us know. We will provide childcare for up to 25 students at $40 daily. We understand that many of you have had some concerns with childcare options, but due to limited staff on-site, we can only accommodate 25 students. Please complete the form below and the first 25 will be accepted. We will notify you by Friday of this week. The students accepted will need to bring a sack lunch and snack the days they will be here.
We are fortunate to have such amazing families and supporters of SABE. Thank you for your support of your child's education and the support of your child's school!

THANKSGIVING LUNCH! Join us for a great cooked meal!
Please come at least 15-20 minutes early to go with your child's class to the eating areas. If you have siblings, please choose one of the lunch blocks to join--please notify BOTH teachers.
Check-in at the front office and we will provide you with all your tickets, including your child's. Please do not bring money the day of the event, pay prior or after.
THANKSGIVING LUNCH BLOCKS
11:00-11:45: 5th Grade, 6th Grade, & 7th Grade
12:00-1:00: Kindergarten & 1st Grade
1:15-2:00: 2nd & 3rd Grade & 4th Grade
Only $40 per day, beginning from 7:00am to 5:30pm. The first 25 parents that reply will be accepted as we have limited staff to assist. You will be notified on Friday at 5:00pm via ClassDojo.
Good News!!! Ozokidz Concert (3rd-7th Grade) (November 14th)
Since our teachers will be busy learning, the following leaders will be supervising and with the students at all times, Mrs. Samantha Yu (kindergarten assistant), Mrs. Gallegos (office manager & health assistant), Mrs. Perea (special education assistant) and me, Mrs. Rodriguez.
If you have a child in 3rd - 7th grade, please drop them off at the regular time (7:30-8:00), with a packed sack lunch, and pick up at regular dismissal (2:45)!
We will be leaving the school at 9:30am and going by bus to the Albuquerque Convention Center. We will be there until 12:45, load the bus at 1:00pm and return to the school by 2:00. A permission slip will be sent home on Monday, November 12th.
