Fancher Card Sales - Sales end Friday, Sept. 22nd

Fancher Cards, our traditional big fundraiser of $10 discount cards, kick off this week with sales starting Sept. 1st.

Thursday, Aug. 31st - Friday, Sept. 22nd. All monies and unsold cards are due to Fancher on Friday, Sept. 23rd at the beginning of the school day to be eligible for all prizes!

Fancher Card $10

*If you are looking to have more than 5 cards sent home at a time, families can prepay for cards - either cash or check made to Fancher PTO. Families will continue to receive 5 cards at a time once money is returned, until STOP is written on the little manila envelope!

Monies raised support many activities at Fancher, such as: classroom resources, assemblies, field trips, playground equipment and more! It allows us to cut down on the cost for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade field trips - like 5th grade camp.

Thank you for your support and selling Fancher Cards!

School Supplies & Back to School Tips for Families

There are NO required school supplies for your student. All supplies have been made available through our Project Aware funding. If your student is in need of a backpack or lunch box, those can be provided by the school as well. Teachers always welcome disinfectant supes and Kleenex throughout the school year.

Back to School Tips

1. Label Everything: use a sharpie and put your student's name on everything - lunchbox, coat, water bottle, and clothes.

2. Extra Clothes: send an extra pair of clothes to stay in your student's locker in a plastic bag is helpful.

3. Water Bottle: send your child to school with a water bottle to refill at our filling stations.

4. Transportation Plan: having a regular plan.

5. School Agenda: use this to write in any transportation changes.

No Student Cell Phones, Hats or Hoods

Fancher has a no student cell phone policy in our student handbook. If a cell phone comes to school with a student it should be turned off and stored in their locked from 8:40am-3:49pm.

We also have a not hats or hoods policy inside the school building, students can wear them outside during recess.

Pokemon Cards, Toys, Electronics

Friendly reminder from our Student Handbook at the front of your student's agenda - toys, trading cards, and pokemon cards should be left at home. We want to make sure things are not lost or stolen at school - and we can best do this by leaving items home. pg. 3 of Handbook

REMINDER - No Outside Food for Student Lunches

Friendly reminder of our No Outside Food policy for Student Lunch time. Students must bring their lunch to school or choose a school lunch option.

You could start a new journal this year to pass back and forth and write these questions in them. Or you could talk about these around the dinner table, as well. Let's continue to encourage both thoughtfulness and intentionality in the kids we love! Let's do all we can to help them see that they can be resourceful --with who they are, how they connect and yes, even how they study this year! (@sissygoff)
