Pass/Fail forms

Attached below is the pass/fail form. This form can be used for all high school level classes that students take at the jr. high. Students will get the credit for this class, but the grade for the class will not be carried on to their high school transcript. This means the grade will not impact their high school GPA.

The high school classes at the jr. high this year are: Algebra I, Honors Geometry, Spanish I, Spanish II, French I, German I, Integrated Science, Gifted English 9, Art Appreciation, Theater, and Physical Education 9.

These forms must be completed and returned BEFORE the completion of the course. Year-long courses must be submitted by May 10. For trimester courses, the form must be completed before the class is completed. Any student wishing to take a course pass/fail this first trimester, must complete and return the form by October 27.

Additional forms are available in the office and should be returned to the school counselor.

Socktober

Did you know that approximately 12,000 people are homeless in Ohio? Did you know that socks are one of the most needed items in homeless shelters? We will be collecting new and gently used socks during the month of Socktober to donate to a homeless shelter right here in Central Ohio. The first-period class that brings in the most pairs of socks by the end of the month will win a pizza party!
Hello Internet! It's #SOCKTOBER! Love, Kid President

Traffic Pattern for Drop Off and Pick Up

1. Please turn down one of the rows where there are cars parked. Do NOT go up to the last turn where the special needs buses park. This is not safe and often times buses do block the traffic for a period of time.

2. We are moving the orange cone at the front of the main entrance back to where we would like students to start being dropped off. We are asking that you only drop off students between this orange cone and the main entrance. This should allow for about 6-8 cars at a time to drop off students.

3. Please do not allow students to get out of your car before this orange cone. We are seeing too many students walking across the parking lot and we are concerned for their safety.

4. Ideally, it would work that the first car would pull up to the main entrance, 5-6 more would pull up in front of the orange cone, all would drop off their students and then 6-8 more would pull up, drop off, and pull away.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation with this process. We realize it will take some time for everyone to figure out, but we need to get a process of some kind in place before someone gets hurt.

I am open to any suggestions and feedback, as we want to make this process smooth for all parents dropping off, but most importantly safe for everyone.
