Text Features Smore Assignment
Collaborative Group Station - 12/10/19
What are we doing?
You are challenged to create a Smore presentation (like this one!) of your own to demonstrate your understanding of text features and their intended purpose. Remember that text features are included for specific reasons, usually to make reading and understanding the content of the text easier. You may chose a topic from the list below:
- Texting and Driving
- Cell Phones in School
- Risk Associated with Smoking
- Climate Change
You may NOT choose any other topic than the ones listed here.
Your presentation must include the following:
- A clear and catchy title
- At least one subtitle
- Subheadings (at least 2) for each section
- A map, chart, or graph showing data that supports your topic
- At least one relevant picture with a caption that describes it and connects it to the topic
- Original text in your own words
- Text from at least one credible website that supports your topic (be sure to cite the source/give credit to the website you found it on)
You will work in a group of up to 4 people. If you have more than 4 people, you will need to split into two different groups.
Be sure to include the names of your group members at the bottom of your presentation!

The example above would qualify for a 100 on this assignment.
Don't forget to mark the assignment as done on Google Classroom!
Each group member must also mark the assignment as done on Google Classroom in order to receive credit when you are finished. Just make sure to publish your design on Smore and I will be able to see it from my account.
