CONGRATULATIONS to Cash!! Her grant has been funded on behalf of the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation Board of Directors. The grant proposal “Non-Fiction Text for Increased Reading Comprehension” was funded in the amount of $675.

Please join me in congratulating the following students who have been selected to represent Independence Elementary School in the annual RHSD3 Elementary Fall Art Show.
These students will have their work displayed at the Center for the Arts on Main Street in Rock Hill. Students and their families are invited to an art reception on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5:30-6:30 at the Center for the Arts.

Science Information
Benchmark Testing UPDATE:
4th and 5th grade science
Benchmarks are now posted in Canvas along with an Announcement and some explanations. The iPad will only be used to view the test questions. Students will answer on the ScanTron Forms (blue side only this time).
Please refer to the 4th Grade Master RHSD and 5th Grade Master RHSD courses for the tests and the announcements. The first link is a PDF version of the test. The second link is an MP3 file of the test being read aloud. Teachers should save these files to their computer, then repost in their Canvas course for students to access. Scan forms arrived at our school on Friday. We will use the BLUE side of the scan form for this test.
