A Culture of Safety
There have been several reports of name calling and teasing among students over the past several weeks. It is important that students talk with their teachers, lunch supervisors, parents, or other staff members when someone is being mean to them. Immediate reporting helps us work through conflicts among students so they can solve the problem and restore relationships. It is important that we teach our students expectations, how to treat one another, and how to solve conflict. If our students are unable to meet these expectations and continue with the undesired behavior, disciplinary measures will be taken. Disciplinary measures may include:
Notifying parent(s)/guardian(s).
Student restorative conference.
Disciplinary conference with staff and parent(s)/guardian(s).
Withholding of privileges.
Temporary removal from the classroom/bus.
After-school study.
When students conduct includes threats of harm with or without weapons the incident will be reported to the Associate Superintendent for consultation on notifying law enforcement.
Please talk with your child about being respectful to students and staff, potential consequences, and the importance of reporting misconduct as soon as possible. Together, we can ensure that our students feel safe physically and emotionally here at school.
Scholastic Book Fair
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way. When students can choose their own books, it empowers kids and inspires them to become strong readers.
Our Book Fair will take place from 9/26/2022- 9/30/2022 in the LRC:
This year, say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account.
Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:
