iReady Diagnostic

All students in K-5 are close to completing the iReady diagnostic test. Students that make half of their typical growth will be invited to a Grinchmas Growth party on December 16 or December 19!

Movie Trip!

We will be inviting students to the movie theater to see Frozen 2 on December 17. The cost is $6 to attend and includes bus transportation, movie ticket, drink and popcorn. Contact us Monday if you have not returned this!

Math Packet

Students in 3rd-5th grades will be bringing home a math packet on Wednesday, December 17 to work on over the holiday break. The questions are similar to the questions that will be asked on the spring FSA. If students complete the packet and return it to their teachers January 7, they will receive a prize!

School-Wide AR Reward

Students were given AR goals this quarter. Teachers may set higher goals within their classrooms. Students that meet their quarterly goal (posted here) will get to participate in the AR reward party during specials on December 18.

Kids Heart Challenge

We will have our American Heart Association Field Day on December 18 during specials!

Early Release Day

December 20 is an early release day. School dismisses at 11:30 am.

End of 2nd Quarter

Friday, December 20 is the end of the 2nd 9 weeks. Reports go home January 16.

Reading Challenge

We encourage everyone to read over the holiday break. We are having a reading challenge. The students in K-5 that read and earn the most AR points will receive a prize after the break!

Winter Break

Winter break is December 23-January 6. Students return Tuesday, January 7.

3rd Grade Reading: April 1-2

4th and 5th Grade Writing: April 1-2

4th and 5th Grade Reading: May 5-6

3rd-5th Grade Math: May 7-8

5th Grade Science: May 13-14

Read, Read, Read!

Reading at home with your child promotes their academic success! Did you know your child can take AR tests from a computer or even your cell phone? Email me if you would like your child's log in information. Hundreds of thousands of books have quizzes available on AR. Students will earn points and we will celebrate their accomplishments! This is for students in K-5.
