T-TESS Goals and SLOs
1. Mark each goal in STRIVE "completed"
2. Email your appraiser from last year to let them know the goals have been marked completed
3. Your appraiser will then be able to "archive" the goals
Once this is done, you can enter your goals for this year and click submit for approval. Each teacher must have 2 goals (1 personal growth, 1 instructional based on previous year's data) and 1 SLO or student growth goal (this can be created as a team and can be the same as last year).
Once you have submitted your goals, email this year's appraiser for review. We will ask for goal setting meetings if needed upon review of submitted goals or at teacher request.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions about this process. We are here to help!
1st Six Weeks Parent Conferences
*Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers will not assess students for the 1st Six Weeks Report Card. Grades 2 -4 are not required to send home a progress report during the first marking period. All teachers (EC-12) are required to make a good faith effort to conference with parents of students experiencing academic difficulty at each progress reporting period. A good faith effort is defined as multiple attempts using multiple modalities. Electronic documentation of each conference or attempts to conference will be kept as designated by Keller ISD.
The first parent conference is your opportunity to begin a strong partnership with your students families. Share the strengths you see in their child and talk about the areas that need support. Allow parents the opportunity to tell you about their child. Actively listen!
October 9 has been designated as a Professional Development Day devoted to Parent Conferences (not to exceed 4 hours) and Teacher Prep. Our campus expectation is that every teacher will conference with every parent following the guidelines below:
* Parent conferences cannot begin prior to Sept. 21 (end of the 1st six weeks)
* Parent conferences must be completed by October 10
* Teachers may phone conference with parents of students who have a 75/P or above in all subjects.
* Face to face conferences are required with parents of students who have an average below 75 or N.
* All conferences must be documented in AWARE.
