Maverick Challenge Winners!
The Maverick Challenge was held again this year at Scottsburg High School. Mrs. Morris' Intro to Business classes competed, and the top team from last year returned two of their three members to compete again. The Maverick Challenge is an annual competition for students to compete with a business idea with a complete Business Plan. This year's competition was a little different in the fact that students prepared a three to five minute video to present their pitch, and completed a one page Executive Summary. Judging was held at Scottsburg High School by local community volunteer judges on December 10th, and 17th during the Intro to Business class time frame.
Congratulations to the following teams who were our SHS winners!:
1st place $200: P.E.F.F. Co - Sam Everitt, Treyton Brown
2nd place $100: Total Support - Kinlee Craig, Allison McGlothlin
3rd place $50: Crossroads - Sydney Moseley, Alexis Moseley
P.E.F.F. Co and Total Support will be competing against Austin's top two teams on Friday, January 18th, at 12:30pm at Mid America Science Park. The winner of the County Competition will win $500, and move on to the Regional Competition.
Special thanks to our volunteer community judges and the Scott County Economic Development Corporation for sponsoring our prize money for the students.
