People are leaving their native lands. Recently immigration has been more evident in the United States. People are leaving their native lands because of many issues. These issues include population growth, agricultural changes, crop failure, industrial revolution, and religious and political turmoil. In Europe population growth is being caused by better food and sanitation. Agricultural changes are happening in Europe because the growing population causes more people to buy and sell land to start farms. Crop failures make it harder for smaller farmers to pay off their debts. With industrial revolution goods produced k. the factories are cheaper than those produced by artisans causing many to lose their jobs. Many are leaving native land to escape religious and political persecution. But why are these people coming to America? These people come to America for freedom, economic opportunity, and abundant land. These are the push and pull factors of immigration.
