Week Two At Park View
Students are continuing to adjust to being 'in' school everyday. We are reviewing and practicing our procedures and expectations. It is important that each student review the 'Panther Handbook' with a parent and then sign the Panther Handbook form and send it back to school with your child. This helps students and parents understand how we do things at our school. It also gives you opportunities to ask questions about any of our procedures or expectations.
One procedure that is important is arrival. In the morning, I am seeing some students on campus too early. Please make sure your child does not arrive too early to Park View as adult supervision starts at 8:20 am. The best time for students to arrive is between 8:22 - 8:27 am. The "line up" bell rings at 8:28 am and the "enter school" bell rings at 8:30 am. If your child is eating breakfast at school they should arrive at 8:20 am and come to Door #2 where they will be let in for breakfast.
Important COVID Reminders!
District 44 will continue to track positive COVID cases via the COVID-19 Dashboard. Based on feedback from last year’s dashboard, we have paired down the dashboard to include the most pertinent information -- COVID positive cases.
OUR ABILITY TO CONTINUE OFFERING ONSITE LEARNING IS CONTINGENT UPON KEEPING OUR SCHOOLS FREE FROM SICKNESS AND INFECTION. Please take a moment to review “Healthy=Here.” One specific section that is of particular importance is that if you have more than one child in our district, you must keep all siblings home if one is experiencing COVID symptoms, which include the following:
Fever (100.4°F or higher), new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of sense of taste or smell, fatigue from unknown cause, muscle or body aches from unknown cause.
Masks are required in the building. Please make sure your child has a mask and a spare each day. The mask must cover the nose and the mouth and should loop around the ears. Masks must be more than one layer. Masks with vents are not allowed.
