Community Newsletter
Dear Brunswick Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. As to be expected, a heat wave arrived shortly after we started school. Kate Furbish and Harriet Beecher Stowe Schools have climate controlled instructional spaces whereas, the Junior High and High School do not. Fortunately, our incredible staff rose to the occasion and "weathered" the occasion.
Belonging
Today, I want to remind our students, staff, and families of something truly important: You belong here.
Our strategic plan, which I will share in future newsletters, is grounded in Belonging. Our school is not just a place of learning; it's a community where every student has a place and a purpose. It doesn't matter where you come from, what your background is, or what challenges you may face – you are a vital part of our school and are valued. Each one of you brings a unique set of talents, ideas, and perspectives that enrich our classrooms, schools, and our lives. Your differences make our school stronger, more vibrant, and more exciting. Embrace your individuality, and know that your voice matters. Belonging isn't just about being here; it's about feeling supported, respected, and included. We are committed to creating an environment where you can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our teachers, staff, and fellow students are here to support you every step of the way. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. We're here to guide you, mentor you, and cheer you on as you reach for your goals.
Together, we will learn, grow, and create a brighter future for ourselves and our community. So, always carry with you the knowledge that you belong here. Your presence enriches our school, and your potential is limitless. We believe in you and can't wait to see all you will achieve.
With warm regards,
Superintendent Potenziano

What makes you proud to work in Brunswick? #BSDProud
I am very excited to get connected to the Brunswick community. I have always enjoyed shopping and hanging out in Brunswick. Now I can become more established in the community and work with the great students in the Brunswick School Department.
What do you like to do outside of work for fun?
I am a huge genealogy nerd. I love doing family research and learning new things about my family's past.
What is your favorite line from a movie?
"The name's Bond, James Bond." - I am a big James Bond fan. I own all 25 films and have seen them several times.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
My Great Great Grandfather, Charles Bourque. I would love the opportunity to talk to him and get to know him. I'd also like to hear from him about his experience moving from New Brunswick to New Hampshire in the late 1800's.
What is something you learned in the last week?
I just got a new puppy named Bailey. I'm learning how to incorporate a new dog into our family, with an already established dog in our house. Every thing is going smoothly so far!
