Parent Survey

Every five years, Greenville County Schools pursues a comprehensive revision of its Strategic Education Plan. The purpose of the strategic planning process is to ensure GCS meets the diverse needs of our students and helps them grow in both knowledge and skills. The district has created a parent input survey to gather information on your priorities as we move into the future. Please take about 15 minutes to complete this parent/guardian survey before June 2. Your input is vital to the success of this process. You can learn more about the Strategic Education Plan process here.

Report Cards & End of Year Communications

Just a reminder that final report cards will NOT be mailed for 2nd through 5th grades as all grades can be accessed via Parent Backpack. Kindergarten and 1st-grade report cards will be emailed since they are not in Parent Backpack. If you are unsure how to access your Parent Backpack account, please contact the office.

Prior to the last day, teacher's will send home an important letter about your child's current reading level. The letter will also have a QR Code for you to access books/ideas to support your child.

Teachers will begin to send home debts owed letters mid-May. Please be sure that your child has all of his/her library books, chromebooks, and chargers ready when it is time.

Medication Pick Up

Remember that parents must pick up all medication in the nurse's office by the last day of school. Students are not allowed to take the medication with them. Any medications not picked up will be disposed on June 2nd.

Chromebook Return Preparation

As we get closer to the end of year, it is important that you begin to check on chromebooks and chargers to be sure all is ready to turn in at the end of the year. Students will be asked to keep their chromebooks at school during state testing to be sure that they are charged and ready to go for testing days. Below you will find information about how to prepare for chromebook return.

Students need to check for name stickers on top and barcode sticker on the bottom
Students need to remove any extra stickers
Students need to check for any damages
(3rd-5th) Students need to be sure they have a top and bottom case
Students need to be sure they have a charger with name sticker on it
Students need to pay for a missing or damaged item
