We hoped to use Handshake for all alumni communication; however, we want to make sure that alumni are receiving information about upcoming events and jobs. The Alumni Career Services office will continue to use Handshake to promote jobs and events on a MONTHLY basis. We will continue to use this listserv for BIWEEKLY emails to communicate with alumni.

SPECIAL PROGRAM: Define Your Dream Job with Career Coaching from

Wednesday, Oct. 26th, 12pm to Wednesday, Nov. 30th, 1pm

This is an online event.

The UGA Career Center and Alumni Association have partnered with Hallie Crawford ( to provide a special career intensive coaching program. This small and dynamic coaching opportunity combines the benefits of individual coaching with group support in a four-session program. This is a self-reflective process, during which there is one week off to give participants time to explore their ideas for their career direction.
  • The program includes four one-hour sessions at noon ET: • Wednesdays: Oct. 26th, Nov. 2nd, Nov. 16th, and Nov. 30th
  • Cost: $295 price includes: Four group coaching calls, individual access to Hallie, step by step 120 page PDF workbook and items listed in bullets above. *Please note: No refunds can be given for this program. We hold your space in this program and limit the number of participants.

Interested in transitioning to a career in technology and design but not sure where to start? Regardless of your background, making a career change to the tech/design field is possible with the right mindset, tools, and resources. In this webinar, we will discuss non-traditional ways to entering the tech/design field and how career changers can leverage their current skill set and experience to start their transition. We will also identify opportunities for under-represented groups when seeking to enter the field.

Our guest speaker, Rachelle Jackson, is a UGA graduate who is a solutions-driven problem solver with a desire to do work that really speaks to who she is at her best — which is being creative, analytical, and curious. She is a User Experience (UX) Designer at Verizon Telematics, a business unit within Verizon’s Internet of Things (IoT) organization, where she designs web and mobile interfaces for connected driving experiences.

Every second Monday, a resume coach will be on hand to provide critiques and feedback via text-based chat. You will have 15 minutes per chat to ask questions and get advice on how to make you stand out in the job search- all online!
