Tamanend Connections

We Are Together Tamanend!

February 25, 2013

On Saturday, Tamanend had its 13th annual KAD Day. We hoped it would be a KAD Day to top all other KAD Days… and it was! We are so thankful to all of our volunteers and participants for helping us to help Mrs. Dolan and the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund. To read more about this incredible day, please visit Tamanend's Principal's Page.

Orchestra Pops Concert

The String Ensemble hosted an Orchestra Pops Concert on February 20th that included a concert, student meet-and-greet, and a reception. Sixth Graders from Barclay, Jamison, Titus, and Buckingham Elementary Schools joined select Tamanend String Ensemble and South/West select Chamber Strings. The groups played music from Metallica, Coldplay, Jimi Hendrix, and the Zelda video game. Thank you to Mr. Hensil, Mrs. Hartzell, and Mrs. Talley for joining us for this special performance. Thank you Ms. Weber for coordinating the fantastic musical opportunity.

Volunteers Needed:

  • Freshman Dance Planning Meeting: ALL TMS parents are encouraged to come out and participate in this Tamanend Tradition. We will magically turn our school entrance, cafeteria, and gym into a themed ballroom for a Freshman Dance that our 9th Graders will never forget... well, it isn't really magic that does it. It is the dedication of our TMS parents! 7th, 8th and 9th grade parents are needed. Please plan to attend on April 18th at 7 p.m.
  • Staff Appreciation Luncheon: We appreciate Mrs. Christine Pataki for coordinating the TMS Staff Appreciation Luncheon this year which will be on May 7th. To volunteer, please email Mrs. Pataki at flojo1213@comcast.net.
  • Relay for Life: 8th and 9th graders across the district are encouraged to participate in the CBSD Relay for Life hosted at Tohickon Middle School on May 18. Please mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information.
