DHS Teacher Edition: December 2015

Christmas is coming! Christmas is coming!

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family last week, and are full of holiday spirit and Christmas cheer by now! I know the end of the semester can be a stressful time for faculty and students alike, so hopefully the humorous links below will brighten your day!

Library Information

We will be hosting the Feast & Finals event again this year. This event will take place in the library on Wednesday, December 16th, from 4:30-6:30. Students are welcome to attend the event that evening to wrap up end-of-the-semester assignments, essays, or projects, or to study for final exams. Students who wish to attend must RSVP, by turning in the bottom portion of their form, by 4:00 PM on Monday, December 14th. Pizza, dessert, and drinks will be provided. Any staff members who wish to attend are welcome, as well.

We have several students who have been frantically searching for misplaced/lost/stolen textbooks. Please let us know if you have any stray textbooks in your classroom, or if you spot any in the hallways, on top of vending machines, or any other strange places.

DHS Library Information

The DHS library is open from 7:30-8:15 AM, and again after school from 3:10-4:00 PM. During this time, students are welcome to work on homework, read library books, study for tests, etc. The library is open during this time to provide students with a quiet atmosphere in which they may relax and feed their minds. Students should not use the library as a place to congregate and visit during this time.
