K-6 Instructional Coach
Serving Students by Supporting Teachers!!!
I re-entered the teaching profession ten years ago when my youngest child started kindergarten. The majority of those years were spent teaching in a Title I school. I know it's cliche to say, but this experience taught me it truly takes a village of teachers to educate each student so they can each reach their highest potential. While I was working hard and completely dedicated to being the best teacher I could be for my students, I quickly learned my students were going to achieve more if I collaborated with my colleagues on instructional strategies. Due to the support I received from colleagues through collaboration and problem-solving, not only did I learn and grow as a teacher but my students grew tremendously both emotionally and academically.
As expectations and requirements on student achievement rises, and resources continue to dwindle it can be challenging to meet the needs of all students. However, as an Instructional Coach, I am committed to supporting all teachers. I am excited and look forward to the opportunity to partner with individuals or grade-level teams to problem-solve, analyze student evidence to guide instruction, and assist with the development of additional strategies to help all students learn and grow!
