At the Cutting Edge of Harvest

The Son said Yes!

This Christmas season, I’m pondering the willingness and obedience of Jesus.

The Father asked the Son if he would go down to earth and become part of the messy world that needed to be saved. And the Son said yes! He said yes even when He knew it involved pain and sorrow, suffering and shame, humiliation and mistreatment.

What is our response to what God calls us to do? Is it a resounding “Yes!”? Are we quick to say “Here I am, send me”? What if we know it will involve pain and suffering? Will we still choose to say yes?

Our yes does not preclude us from crying out to be spared of pain. Our yes also does not mean we cannot ask why during the toughest times. Even Jesus had moments of “take this cup away from me” and “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”. But He was fully committed to glorifying His Father and doing His will. May that be true of us this Christmas season and in the New Year.

Merry Christmas,

New Safehome for Girls

12 sponsored girls have been identified from 3 different CSW villages. They are ready now to move to the safe home with the support of their families. Thank God!

We are now looking for sponsors for these girls at $50 per month. Please pray for God to raise sponsors as well as house mothers for these children.

Upcoming India Trip

25 people from 6 different churches are planning to be on mission in India in January and February of 2016.

We could use your financial support for this trip. Please pray for all of the various elements involved in planning and preparation.
