Wacky Weather

It's that time of year where we get to remind you about the weather. As the weather begins to cool down, please be sure to send your student to school with a jacket or coat. We will be going outside even in cold weather, so we want to make sure students are bundled up as they run their energy out. It would also be very helpful if jackets were labeled.

If you happen to drop off a jacket, lunch box, etc. during the day, there is a bin with 5th grade’s label on it in the foyer. Please utilize this bin and it will be sent down to the grade level before recess and lunch. We are trying to teach students to check this bin if they forgot something to see if their parents dropped it off.

Yearbooks for Sale - On Sale until February 16th

Yearbooks are on sale and can be ordered through February 16 at https://goo.gl/QGzrCr for $20. When yearbooks arrive at the end of the school year, we will NOT have extras. Don’t miss your chance to order your child a yearbook with all the greatest memories of the year… Mrs. Young and Mrs. Sibley’s bubble suit showdown, Smith Stampede, Celebrate Smith, field trips, class parties, and much, much more!

Counselor's Corner

Our December Focus is Growth Mindset

Growth mindset is the belief that you can get smarter and improve. A person with growth mindset takes on new challenges with optimism. You can see why this is an important character skill that we want to encourage for our students. The students will learn more about this topic through guidance lessons and daily class meetings during the month of December. On another topic, thank you for supporting the Angel gift program.
